Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent “successful” surgery to treat a hernia, his office announced today.

Mr. Netanyahu “is in good condition and is beginning to recover”, his services clarified for the intervention he underwent last Sunday night and particularly occupied the media, in the middle of the war of the Israeli army against the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which in a few days it will be half a year.

Last night thousands of protesters gathered in Jerusalem and other Israeli cities to demand Mr Netanyahu’s resignation and a deal to free hostages from Hamas’s military arm in the Gaza Strip, as indirect talks appear to have deadlock again.
