The German group Lufthansa announced today that it is suspending flights to Amman (Jordan), Beirut (Lebanon), Erbil (northern Iraq) and Tel Aviv (Israel). at least until tomorrow, Monday, after the latest turmoil in the Middle East.
The group that owns the German airline as well as Swiss and Austrian airlines (SWISS and Austrian airlines) will also ensure that its flights avoid the airspace over Israel, Jordan and Iraq for the foreseeable future, according to with announcement.

Early on Saturday, Dutch airlines KLM – the Dutch arm of the Air-France-KLM group – announced it would not operate flights over Israel and Iran as a precaution amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel but would continue flights to Tel Aviv, on the shores of the Mediterranean, according to a telegram from the Dutch news agency ANP.
