Two people were killed from a Russian airstrike on a school, in the Kharkiv region, announced the local Ukrainian authorities.
According to Governor Oleg Sinegubov, two men aged 63 and 65 were killed on the spot while two women aged 63 and 65 were injured and are hospitalized.
In his Telegram post, the governor said that a “remote-controlled bomb” hit the “educational institution” in the Lukyanchi community, north of Kharkiv, very close to the border with Russia.
Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities of the Donetsk region announced that four civilians were killed on Sunday night in the Syversk community. Governor Vadim Filashkin said the area was shelled, killing four men aged between 36 and 86.
Before the war, Shiversk had 11,000 inhabitants. It is very close to the border and is often bombed.
Ukraine admitted on Sunday that the situation is “tense” on its eastern border, where the Russian army is attempting to seize the strategically important community of Chasiv Yar, which is 35 kilometers southwest of Siversk.
