With the selection of the jury, the second day of the historic trial of Donald Trump, which began yesterday Monday, continues. The former president faces charges of falsifying business records to cover up a payment to porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 election.

This is the first time a former president has been brought to trial on criminal charges.

Trump, who is charged with 34 felonies upon his arrival today, answered two questions about voters.
“Voters understand, what you have to do is look at the polls,” Trump said,

At the same time, Donald Trump severely criticized the “Trump-hating judge” as he said.

In particular, speaking before entering the courtroom in Manhattan, Trump directed his anger at Judge Juan Merchan and also blamed Joe Biden for his trial.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to a charge of falsifying business records related to a $160,000 payment to cover up an alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

Prospective jurors number in the hundreds and are screened to see if they can be impartial.

Judge Merchan called the list of 42 questions potential jurors must answer “by far the most exhaustive questionnaire” ever used in a court case.

Earlier, outside court, Trump raged: “I paid a lawyer and marked it as a legal costs bill. Some accountant – I didn’t know – classed it as a legitimate expense. That’s exactly what it was. And they blame me for it?

“I should be right now in Pennsylvania, Florida, several other states in North Carolina, Georgia, campaigning. This is all coming from the White House and Biden because the guy can’t string two sentences together. He cannot campaign. They use this to try to win over a chosen one. And it doesn’t work.’

Trump arrived in court wearing a dark blue suit, blue shirt and blue tie, presenting a different image than his usual red tie.

After entering the courtroom, he sat at a table with his lawyers and stared straight ahead, tilting his head from side to side and looking impassive.
