“They hit the port of Peevdeny. Many missiles hit port facilities, not only Ukrainian but also Singapore’s,” Zelensky said while speaking at the NATO-Ukraine Council.
Russian missiles hit the port of Pivdeni in the Odesa region today, damaging facilities belonging to Ukraine and Singapore, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
“They hit the port of Peevdeny. Many missiles hit port facilities, not only Ukrainian but also Singapore’s,” Zelensky said while speaking at the NATO-Ukraine Council.
The district governor said one person was injured. Ukraine’s southern military command said the attack caused fires. Videos posted on local channels of the Telegram app show thick black smoke billowing over what they say are the hit facilities.
Ukraine’s port infrastructure has come under frequent attack since Russia withdrew last summer from an agreement on the safe export of Ukrainian grain. Kiev, however, has built its own sea corridor to continue food exports.
