Former President Donald Trump argued on Wednesday morning that ongoing unrest on US college campuses is being deliberately acted as a distraction to “take attention away from our southern border” and the immigration issue.
“Do you believe that the Radical Leftist Insanes who are causing all this chaos in our Colleges and Universities are doing it to distract from our southern border where millions of people, many from prisons and mental institutions, are pouring into our country? I’m just wondering” he wrote in a post on the Truth Social platform.
Trump has repeatedly condemned the violent anti-Israel protests that have erupted across the country, telling Fox News Digital that “weak and ineffective leadership” at universities must be “replaced immediately,” while declaring that anti-Semitism “must stop quickly and efficiently”.
“This violence must stop immediately,” Trump said on Fox News Digital early Wednesday morning. “Weak and ineffective leadership in colleges and universities must be replaced, and quickly.”
