Two Hezbollah fighters were killed and three civilians were injured by an Israeli strike, yesterday Saturday, in a house in the village of Aitaroun in the southern part of Lebanon.

According to Lebanese security forces sources cited by Xinhua news agency, an Israeli warplane fired four missiles at a house in the village of Aitaroun, killing two Hezbollah fighters and injuring three civilians.

In total, during the day, the Israeli armed forces launched nine airstrikes on six Lebanese towns and villages near the border with Israel. Among others, Touch mobile phone company facilities in the Chiam area were affected.

Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, there have been almost daily hostilities between the Israeli army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which supports the Palestinian Islamist movement. Since then, Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed 484 people, of whom 308 have been confirmed as Hezbollah fighters and 89 civilians, according to a tally by Lebanese security services. In the same period, 25 people have been killed in Israel, fourteen soldiers and eleven civilians, according to a count by Agence France-Presse.
