“My goal is to create an alternative, center-right majority in Europe, and to send the left into opposition”
The Italian prime minister Georgia Meloni, in an interview with the Italian public radio and television Rai, she referred to the future of Europe and the upcoming European elections.
“My goal is to create an alternative, center-right majority in Europe, and send the left into opposition. I believe that so-called “rainbow majorities” only produce compromises that set the bar low. We cannot allow ourselves to have a weak Europe”, emphasized the Italian Prime Minister. “Citizens will decide who should join a new majority. I am not willing to give life to a majority, including the left. All the rest, we can discuss,” he added.
“With Ursula, naturally, I have a relationship of institutional cooperation, as with everyone. I am only interested in securing results. I think that the left, using the green transition, carried out an attack on the freedom of citizens, with a series of impositions that have nothing to do with their interests,” argued Georgia Meloni.
While the left strongly opposes the direct election of the head of the government, it proposes to double the number of senators for life. Io ho una vision diametrically opposite of what is la sovranità popolare. Se l’opposizione ha paura che i cittadini scelgano, lo dica clearly. pic.twitter.com/tDmvrGoutc
