Chaos reigns in Ukraine as tens of thousands of people try to flee urban centers under siege by Russian forces.

When a train approached on the platform, the crowd rushed to the doors, hoping to board, some of them holding their children and pets. The guards fired several shots at the crowd to disperse the crowd, after which some people started screaming.
Maria, 30, gave up trying to leave after spending four hours at the station with her child, her husband and their dog.
“You can see, it is dangerous to go through the crowd with a child. The dog is scared. “Honestly, we are exhausted,” he told Reuters.
Some foreign students also tried to leave. A girl from Mongolia described from the station that she and her classmates were offered the opportunity to leave for their homelands if they managed to reach Poland, which borders western Ukraine.

“I am not afraid of anything”, said Irina, a 35-year-old woman, who also failed to get on the train. “We support the truth and if we support the truth, God is on our side. “I am ready to stay in Kiev, if necessary, and offer moral support to our army.”
Many others chose to leave in their cars, resulting in traffic jams on the streets outside the capital for a second day.
