Flushed tourists were leaving Calo des Moro disappointed
The movement against hypertourism has spread to many famous destinations in Europe, such as Venice and Majorca, which has spearheaded the movement.
In fact, on Sunday, around 300 people occupied the famous Calo des Moro beach, in a symbolic act of protest.
With towels, umbrellas and banners they set up camp on the small but beautiful beach, shooing away the flushed tourists walking down from the top
Videos posted on social media show locals and activists shouting “Get out! leave!” to the foreign visitors, who left clearly disappointed.
Caló des Moro has gone viral on social media, with 4,000 visitors and 1,200 cars descending on the inaccessible spot every day to snap a photo for Instagram.
