A Russian delegation is already in the Belarusian city of Gomel for talks with Ukrainian officials, the Kremlin as reported by the Associated Press.
In particular, Dmitry Peshkov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, said the delegation consisted of army officials and diplomats.
“The Russian delegation is ready for talks, and now we are waiting for the Ukrainians,” he said.
There is still no comment from Ukrainian officials on this development. Earlier, Kiev said it was ready for peace talks with Russia, without giving further details on the location or timing of the talks.
Zelensky denies talks on Belarusian soil – “We were attacked from there”
