The American Pentagon reported today that the Ukraine is making its own decisions in choosing military targets in its war against Russia, after the Kremlin directly accused Washington of direct involvement in a Ukrainian attack in Crimea yesterday that killed at least four people and wounded 151.

“Ukraine makes its own targeting decisions and conducts its own military operations,” said Maj. Charlie Dietz, a Pentagon spokesman.

The representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov called yesterday’s attack “absolutely barbaric” earlier today and said Moscow would retaliate against US involvement in the attack.

Today, the Russian Foreign Ministry even called the American ambassador to inform her that Moscow accuses Kiev and Washington of being equally responsible for the attack.

Yesterday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that four of the ATACMS missilesdelivered to Ukraine by the US, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by anti-aircraft defense systems, and the ammunition of a fifth exploded in mid-air.

The Russian Defense Ministry also said that US experts had determined the flight coordinates of the missiles based on information they had collected from US spy satellites, meaning that Washington was directly responsible for the attack.
