The statements of Nigel Farage’s partner in Britain about immigrants have caused shock, forcing the leader of the Reform party to remove him from the election campaign.

“Just shoot them. That’s what the Greeks did… You know. The Greeks fired a load… [με μετανάστες]said Andrew Parker, head of the election campaign of the British party Reform (Reform UL), even provoking the reaction of Nigel Farage.

Andrew Parker was secretly filmed by Channel 4 News during the Reform Party election campaign in Clacton, Essex.

Farage said he was “disappointed” by the comments and claimed the particular colleague had been removed from his party’s local campaign.

Parker also went on to suggest that army recruits do “target practice” on migrants arriving in small boats across the Channel.

Addressing a prospective voter he said: “To enlist the army at Dover. Get the new recruits there, yes, with guns on the beach and practice on targets. Just shoot them.”

Explaining the party’s Criminal Justice Reform policies, he said the party would “bring back the gallows” and added: “Our police officers will be paramilitary, not police officers” and that the party should “bring back the gallows.

Farage issued a statement on Thursday night repudiating the comments. However, on Friday morning, he disputed the identity of the man filmed by Channel 4, saying he might be an actor.

“I am disappointed by the reported comments of a handful of people associated with my local campaign, particularly those who are volunteers. They will no longer work for the campaign,” he said.

“The appalling sentiments expressed by some have nothing to do with my own views, those of the vast majority of our supporters or the Reform policy for the UK. The language used is reprehensible.”
