Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba issued a speech on Kiev’s decision to hold talks with Moscow in Belarus. Negotiations between the two countries are expected to begin tomorrow, Monday morning.
Kuleba spoke of a victory for Ukraine, as Russia’s decision to negotiate was “the result of the blows it receives.”
“We can negotiate without ultimatums, without conditions, without demands. “We appreciate the support of our friends from all over the world, but we are fighting, our own people are dying, our own homes are being destroyed.”
Regarding the Zelensky-Lukashenko telephone conversation, the minister stressed that “we are closer than ever to the entry of Belarussian forces into the war. That is what Presidents Zelensky and Lukashenko discussed. “We have to defend the north side and minimize the threats.”
Therefore, as he said, “we agreed to send a delegation to hear what Russia has to say. We will go there without any preliminary agreement. Until the talks are over, Lukashenko has assured Zelensky that no Belarusian military force will be used against Ukraine. “This is an achievement and we hope that Alexander Lukashenko will honor his speech.”
Finally, he added that they will continue to defend their country “with fury”, “until we defeat the Russian forces in their attempt to continue their offensive operation”.
“We will continue to conquer them in the territories they already control. We will not stop. “We are not going to hand over a single square meter of our territory,” he stressed.
He also said that those who want to fight with them are welcome.
