The satellite images released by Maxar Technologies are terrifying and show convoy of Russian military vehicles 64 km long along the roads northwest of Kiev.

It is easy to see where these hundreds of tanks, artillery trailers, armor and other military vehicles came from. You just follow the streets.

In Ukraine, northwest of Kiev, all roads lead to Belarus. The road and bridge to Chernobyl, the city not the failed nuclear reactor, ends in Belarus. All other major roads northwest of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, end in Belarus, which borders Ukraine to the north.

Accumulation of Russian troops: For weeks before the invasion of Ukraine, Russia concentrated its forces in Belarus.

Hundreds of Russian military vehicles, planes and helicopters moved to the former Soviet state to take part in what the two allies described as joint exercises. However, after their completion, the Russian forces did not return.

In fact, additional satellite images from Maxar showed that Russia continued to increase the number of military vehicles, air forces and armaments in Belarus. From the city of Brest in the east of the country to Gomel in the west, Russian forces continued to appear in air bases, cities and even fields in satellite imagery and on social media.

Floating bridge: Satellite images also show that Russia has built a floating bridge over the Pripyat River in the largest Chernobyl exclusion zone, which stretches from Ukraine to Belarus. The day the invasion of Ukraine began, additional satellite images from the space company Capella Space showed that Russia began moving dozens of military vehicles along the bridge.

Military force: The length of the convoy is huge and shows the size of the military force that Russia is gathering to try to occupy Kyiv.

It also says a lot about Belarus’s moves to support and carry out the invasion, and its responsibility for it.

This military force could not be assembled by the Russians without the permission and assistance of Belarus.
