On November 2, the new leader of the British will be announced Conservative Partyby Rishi Sunak to remain as acting chief until then.

As the party announced, the nominations for the succession will be able to start being submitted from tomorrow Wednesday, at 7 pm local and until 2.30 pm on Monday 29 July.

The support of at least ten members of the party’s caucus will be required to file a nomination.

Conservative MPs, drastically reduced in numbers since the last election, will vote down to four candidates who will try to win the vote of party members at the party’s annual conference, which this year will be held in late September to early October in Birmingham.

The process then provides for the reduction of the list of candidates to two, with the winner being elected by the party base.

A number of MPs, from Suella Braverman, Kemi Badenoch, Priti Patel and Robert Jenrick on the far right wing of the party, to the more moderate Tom Tugendhat, James Cleverley and Mel Stride, have left the possibility of a leadership bid open.
