The attack was launched two days after Iraqi and US officials held talks in Washington on phasing out the mission of the coalition, which was formed to counter the Islamic State (IS) group, in Iraqi territory.
Four Katyusha rockets were fired at the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq, where troops of the US-led international anti-jihadist coalition are stationed, two security sources told Reuters news agency. As of this stage, no casualties or damage have been reported, they said.
The sources clarified that the two rockets fell inside the base and the remaining two in its perimeter.
A spokesman for the coalition did not immediately respond when asked for comment.
The attack was launched two days after Iraqi and US officials held talks in Washington on phasing out the mission of the coalition, which was formed to counter the Islamic State (IS) group, in Iraqi territory.

US forces invaded Iraq in 2003, ousted then-leader Saddam Hussein and imposed an occupation, then withdrew in 2011 before returning in 2014 to tackle IS.
Paramilitary groups close to Iran have targeted US forces dozens of times on Iraqi and Syrian soil since war broke out between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip on October 7. However, the attacks have decreased since February.
