The names of the three little girls who succumbed to the injuries they suffered during the knife attack in Southport at noon on Monday.

The nine-year-old was initially named Alice da Silva Aguiar originally from Madeira, Portugal.

The Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the country’s consul general in Manchester is ready to provide the parents of the little girl with any help they need.

Nine-year-old Alice became the third victim of the attack, succumbing to her injuries in hospital early on Tuesday morning.

The two other dead girls are the six-year-old Bibi King and the seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombas announced by Merseyside Police.

Bibi’s family said there are “no words to describe the heartbreak” they feel, while Alice’s parents said: “Keep smiling and dancing the way you love, our princess.”

Another five children and two adults are hospitalized in critical condition, including 35-year-old Leanne Lucas, organizer of the dance class the girls were attending at the time of the attack.

The horrific incident occurred during a summer dance workshop to music by Taylor Swift. Fans of the famous pop star have already raised over £102,000 for the victims’ relatives.

Sefton Borough Council, which includes Southport, has announced a vigil will be held tonight in memory of the victims.
