Joe Biden has praised Kamala Harris’ decision to choose Tim Walsh, describing the duo as a ‘strong voice for working people’
President Joe Biden praised Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris for choosing Tim Walsh as her running mate, saying their ballot will be a “strong voice for working people.”
“They will be the strongest defenders of our personal freedoms and our democracy. And they will ensure that America continues to lead the world and play its role as the indispensable nation,” Biden wrote.
“It is time for all Democrats—and indeed all Americans—who are committed to freedom, democracy and American leadership in the world to rally behind the Harris-Wallace ballot. Every generation of Americans faces a moment when they are called upon to defend American democracy. That moment is now,” Biden wrote in a social media post.
The president added that he has known Walsh for nearly two decades, referring to the highlights of his journey in politics.
“A husband and father, he was a school teacher and high school football coach. He served 24 years in the National Guard and became the highest-ranking reservist ever to serve in Congress. As governor, he was a strong, principled, effective leader,” Biden noted.
And after Biden praised Harris’ decision to pick the Minnesota governor, he also addressed fundraising appeal for the new Democratic ballot on social media.
“Sign up now to help @KamalaHarris and @Tim_Walz in the White House,” Biden wrote with a link to campaign donations.
