Vladimir Putin identifies moves to undermine Russia’s stability behind the invasion of Ukraine in the south of the country. “Ukraine is trying to intimidate Russian society and undermine stability”said Russian President Vladimir Putin, emphasizing however that “he won’t make it.”

“Casualties of Ukrainian forces are increasing dramatically, including units that are considered ‘Operationally Ready’, that is, units that the enemy is moving across our borders” Putin said in a televised meeting with top security officials and regional governors.

He also said that Ukraine is trying to improve its negotiating position with its attack on Russia’s Kursk region and that Moscow will respond to Kiev’s attack. “The enemy will get a credible response, and all our objectives will undoubtedly be achieved” he said characteristically.

Meeting with Abbas

According to the Russian news agency TASS, Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who is visiting Russia, on Tuesday, August 13.
