59-year-old Kenny Iwamasa confessed to his act and named four other people involved – Among them two doctors and ketamine queen Sanga
It is shocking what has been revealed in the last few hours about the circumstances in which the famous actor breathed his last Matthew Perrywho was loved by few as “Chandler” in the most successful series of all time “Friends”.
According to the latest revelations, at least five people are being prosecuted in his death, including his longtime assistant, 59-year-old Kenny Iwamasa, who allegedly gave him the fatal ketamine injection that cost him his life. The group of defendants includes Matthew Perry’s doctor, as well as drug dealers, who made sure to supply him with the deadly substance – in large doses -.
Matthew Perry’s assistant has pleaded guilty, saying he gave the Friends star the ketamine that caused his death, prosecutors said.
Iwamasa now faces up to 15 years in prison after naming four other people involved in the sad case, including the actor’s doctor, in Los Angeleswho allegedly prescribed the ketamine. The case also involves a second doctor, as well as the so-called “queen of ketamine” Sanga, who allegedly set up the criminal organization that made many thousands of dollars from the exploitation of addicted people.
“These defendants took advantage of Matthew Perry’s addiction problems to enrich themselves,” explained federal prosecutor Martin Estrada. The inquest into the actor’s death “revealed the existence of an extensive illegal criminal network responsible for the distribution of large quantities of ketamine to Matthew Perry and others”.
The actor passed away in October 2023 due to taking ketamine. He was found unconscious in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles residence.
This anesthetic, sometimes abused for stimulation or euphoria, had been taken by the actor under supervision as part of treatment sessions for depression. But the actor “developed an addiction to it in the fall of 2023,” according to Estrada.
His personal assistant, two doctors, a drug dealer known as the “Queen of Ketamine” are among the defendants who took advantage of his weaknesses, the prosecutor explained. They illegally gave Matthew Perry about 20 vials of ketamine for $55,000 in cash in just two months.
One of the doctors, Salvador Placencia, faces up to 120 years in prison.
This doctor was particularly cynical, according to Estrada. “I wonder how much this moron will pay,” he wrote in an SMS in September 2023.
