Conservative billionaire Timothy Mellon, heir to the Pittsburgh-based Mellon banking family, donated another $50 million last month to a political action committee (“super PAC”) supporting former Republican President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign discloses a document submitted as required by law to federal authorities.

Dubbed MAGA Inc, the committee is ramping up TV advertising campaigns for Mr. Trump’s candidacy and negative advertising against the Democratic nominee as Kamala Harris prepares to formally receive the Democratic nomination at her party’s convention. which ends tomorrow.

MAGA Inc disclosed in a filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) that it received $54 million from donors last month — in other words, most of the money it raised was donated by Mr. Mellon. In total, the billionaire has allocated at least $115 million to this committee.

Mr. Mellon, who lives in the state of Wyoming and avoids public appearances and photography, is an amateur pilot, has investments in—and has run—transportation companies.

According to calculations by the American magazine Forbes, the Mellon family has a fortune worth about 14.1 billion dollars.
