The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that, despite the precarious working conditions imposed by the war between Russia and Ukraine, the employees involved in the work should not be paid for overtime.

The folder assigned 28 people to deal with the conflict. In addition to the eight servers that were sent to Warsaw, Poland, and to the Ukrainian city of Lviv, another 20 work on national soil to help Brazilians who are in the war zone.

All of them are part of the Brazilian Working Group (WG) in Ukraine. According to the folder, there is no need to hire additional staff.

“The current members will not be entitled to payment for overtime, given that it is a relevant service interest”, says the Itamaraty, in a note, to the column.

“Even faced with the precarious working conditions generated by the crisis, the Itamaraty team remains fully committed to meeting such demands in an agile and effective way”, he says.

The Ministry of Defense said this Thursday (3) that a KC-390 Millennium aircraft should take off next Monday (7) to bring Brazilians who fled Ukraine to the country.

The plane will have as its final destination Warsaw, Poland, where a significant part of the Brazilians who left Ukrainian territory went.

According to the ministry, the shipment of Brazilians will take place “as defined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”. The ministry also announced that, on the way to Poland, the aircraft will transport 11.5 tons of humanitarian aid material.
