Terror in Germany. A woman stabbed several people on a bus in the western city of Siegen, injuring five of them, local police said Friday evening.

The suspect, who is aged 32, was arrested and there are no indications at this time that it was a “terrorist attack”.

Three of the five injured are being treated in critical condition. The fourth is seriously injured and the fifth more lightly.

“There is no other danger,” the police assured.

At around 19.40 local time, when the attack took place, “at least 40 passengers they were on the bus going to the festival in the city of Siegen,” according to authorities.

This attack is taking place while Germany is still in a state of shock since the Solingen attack. During the local festival seven days ago, a Syrian attacked the crowd with a knife, killing three people and injuring eight others.

On Thursday, Interior Secretary Nancy Fesser announced a ban on carrying knives at rallies and on public transport.
