Massacre with at least four dead and 30 injured, occurred at the high school Apalachee in Winder in Barrow County, Georgia, USA.

According to the police, a suspect is in custody, with no motive being determined. The suspect, according to the information he is a teenager but it is not yet clear if he actually goes to school.

“There are reports of casualties, however details on their number or condition are not available at this time,” the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

As reported by American media, at least 4 people were killed and 30 were injured. At least one person was taken to the medical helicopter on a stretcher and then to Grady Memorial Hospital.

A local hospital is accepting patients with gunshot wounds, a hospital source told CNN.

Immediately after being informed about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and heavily armed officers were seen entering the school as the students were taken to the football field. Also, FBI special agents responded to assist local law enforcement.

Images from the scene show dozens of ambulances and police vehicles outside the school. Panicked parents were there looking for their children.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said he was “directing all available state resources to respond to the incident at Apalachee High School.”

“We will continue to work with local, state and federal partners as we gather information and further respond to this situation,” Kemp told X .
