The big loser of the night was Donald Trump and the winner was the well-read Kamala Harris.

The telefight between Donald Trump and her Kamala Harris was won by the Democratic candidate and as, quite rightly, the British The Guardian notes in an opinion piece, thanks to the help of the moderators of the American network ABC News, Tuesday night was a better than usual night in terms of truth.
“In no State in this country (i.e. the United States of America) is it lawful to kill an infant after it is born.” That sentence belongs to ABC News reporter Lindsay Davis, who made it in a low-key, neutral tone when the Republican candidate said abortions are done in the United States in the ninth month of pregnancy.
Correspondingly, maintaining an equally mild style, the other televangelist and journalist, David Muir, acted accordingly when Donald Trump falsely claimed that immigrants eat pets, dogs and cats, of American citizens.
“ABC News contacted the manager of the (Singfield) area and told us there are no credible reports of specific allegations of pets being harmed, injured or abused by people from the migrant community,” he said.
Also of particular interest was the fact that the coordinators of the telefight – which turned out to be fascinating – insisted on getting answers to the questions they were putting to the two candidates for the White House. Sometimes they even insisted on a clear answer and pressured them to answer with a “yes” or a “no”.
The big loser of the night was Donald Trump and the winner was well read Kamala Harris.
His supporters, however, feel unhappy, citing injustice against the former US president, who, they say, came under more pressure than his opponent.
According to the New York Times, which publishes a list of the candidates’ questionable positions, Kamala Harris also deviated from the truth in some places. However, as CNN reporter Abby Phillips pointed out, “asymmetric lies will also bring asymmetric verification,” accusing the Republican candidate of making extreme and outrageous claims.
Even a reporter for Fox News said that Donald Trump had a bad night, while the NPR network emphasized that “the spotlight should now fall on Trump’s nonsense.”
Kamala Harris surprised him early with a handshake, which was also the first on record in a teleconference since 2016 between two candidates in the race for the White House.
A decisive move, so that Donald Trump to start losing his temper, there was the moment when he sarcastically described his pre-election rallies as “boring”. One only has to notice how his eyes roll when he hears this remark of hers and the response, on his part, that follows. He continued to provoke him, saying that he has become a laughing stock of foreign leaders and that the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, would have him for… breakfast.
For his part, the former president of the United States insists that he won the debate, and by a margin. However, many, including within the Republicans, disagree, citing the clear defeat of Donald Trump and a well-read Kamala Harris.
