Kremlin: The West is engaged in “robbery” against Russia

by

The West is behaving like a criminal, but Russia is too big to isolate itself, as the world is much larger than the United States and Europe, the Kremlin said today.

Spokesman Dmitry Peshkov told reporters that the West was engaged in a “robbery” against Russia and warned that Moscow would respond.

He did not specify the type of response, but said it would be in Russia’s interests.

“This does not mean that Russia is isolated,” Peshkov told reporters.

“The world is too big for Europe and America to isolate a country, and even more so a country as big as Russia. “There are many more countries in the world,” he said.

The Russian official warned that if the US imposes sanctions on Russia’s energy exports, then with this measure they would give a big shock to the energy markets.

At the same time, he defended the necessary “robustness” of the law passed by Moscow to suppress “false information” about the Russian army in order to face an “information war” being waged according to the Kremlin against Russia in connection with the conflict in Ukraine.

“In the context of the information war, it was necessary to pass a law whose stability was adjusted, which it did,” said a spokesman for the Russian presidency, following the entry into force of this law, which imposes heavy sanctions, to disseminate any information it deems Moscow as untrue, about the Russian army.
