The head of the Turkish intelligence service, Ibrahim Kalin, met with a delegation of the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas in Ankara and discussed ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, state broadcaster TRT reported on Friday.

Ibrahim Kalin, head of it of the National Intelligence Service Turkeys, met the delegation from the leadership of the Hamas politburo, TRT Haber reported citing Turkish security sources, without specifying who the members of the delegation were.

Turkey has denounced Israel’s attack on Gaza, which began after Hamas attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking about 250 hostages.

Turkey’s intelligence service has contacted all actors, including Hamas, Israel, Qatar and the United States, and is conducting intensive diplomacy for a cease-fire in Gaza, TRT reported.
