Another explosion – the sixth since June and the third in the past ten days – occurred overnight in the center of Cologne, this time in a recently opened cafe on the ground floor of an apartment building.

According to the police, the explosion occurred at 2:45 (local time) and the apartment building was immediately evacuated.

From the fire that broke out, two people were slightly injured, while the cafe was completely destroyed.

According to BILD, police are focusing their investigations into the back-to-back bombings in Cologne on the Mocro mafia operating in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Who is “Mocro-Mafia”

The term “Mocro-Mafia” has to do with the Moroccan origin of the organization’s founding members, but meanwhile its members are so numerous that there is no national restriction on their membership.

The organization is also considered responsible for attacks against the press, such as the murder of investigative journalist Peter de Vries in 2021, which “gave” it global fame.

According to recent statements by the head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Cologne Police, Michael Esser, the peak of violence in the war between drug gangs in the wider region of North Rhine-Westphalia it is developing with incredible intensity and above all ferocity, without any calculation of cost.

He even expressed the fear that in this war, which has been raging for weeks in the region, it is not improbable that eventually there will be victims among the “civilian population,” which has now been avoided merely by chance.

According to the relevant reports, the “Mocro” organization has expanded its activities in North Rhine-Westphalia either for the trafficking of large quantities of cocaine and marijuana in Germany or as a processing center for the transfer to the rest of Europe of the “goods” that arrive at the ports her Netherlands from Latin America.

The organization is threatened by “competitors” and seems determined not to let anyone challenge its primacy.
