Vladimir Putin will have a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on October 23 in Kazan, at the BRICS Summit, as the Russian president announced.

Vladimir Putin welcomed in the Kremlin the president of the Turkish National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmus, who is in Russia for an official visit.

“We are very happy that our relations with Turkey are developing in all areas, including the parliamentary one. Just recently, we met with the president of Turkey Mr. Erdogan in Astana.

In October we will meet again in Kazan, at the BRICS Summit, we have planned a separate meeting with him,” Vladimir Putin told his Turkish interlocutor.

He emphasized that the relations between Turkey and Russia are developing very successfully in almost all areas, commenting: “In general, we are good neighbors and we work for the benefit of our peoples, our countries and we succeed in everything, in general. There are issues that require our special attention. Now, we will very soon exchange views on all these areas.”

In conclusion, the Russian president sent his “warmest wishes” to President Erdogan and said that he is waiting for him in Kazan, Russia, where he will have a tete-tete with him on October 23.
