The Ministry of Transport of Lebanon today banned an Iranian plane from entering its airspace, shortly after the announcement of the death of Hassan Nasrallah and statements of support for Hezbollah by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran is in continued contact with Hezbollah of Lebanon and other regional organizations adjacent to Iran, in order to determine “the next step”, following the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in yesterday’s Israeli strike in southern Beirut.

According to the Lebanese ministry, Israel warned air traffic control services at Beirut airport that it would use “force” if the plane landed.

A ministry source told Reuters it was unclear what was on the plane. “The priority is human lives,” he added.

Today, Iran “fled” Ali Khamenei to a safe location, but inside the country, as it announced. Also, according to information, the Iranians say they will send troops to Lebanon.

Yesterday, immediately after the Israeli strike, Ali Khamenei called an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council at his home.
