The leader of Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels said tonight that the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah “will not be in vain”.

“These great sacrifices and this great injustice will not be in vain,” Abdel Malek al-Houthi said in a speech. The Houthis, he added, have begun “escalating” and “improving their performance” following their recent attacks on Israeli soil.

According to the organization’s announcement, the Houthis fired a ballistic missile at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, upon the arrival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Earlier, the Israeli military reported that a rocket was intercepted over Tel Aviv.
