The ceasefire will take effect from 9.00 (Greek time) on the morning of Wednesday 9 March.
“Russia is ready to open humanitarian corridors,” the Russian government was quoted as saying by AFP, citing Russia’s Tass news agency.
According to Moscow, this proposal will be transferred to the Ukrainian authorities, which, as yesterday, must confirm by midnight (02.00 Greek time) the opening of humanitarian corridors and from what time they will be able to operate.
According to information, the corridors will be from Kyiv, Kharkov and other cities.
The first evacuation corridors for civilians opened this morning, especially in Sumi, in the northeast, from where two motorcades departed during the day. Evacuations are also continuing in the Kiev region.
In other cities, such as Boutsa, north of Mariupol, civilians remain stranded.
