North Korea threatens ‘declaration of war’ if South Korean drones cross its airspace again
North Korea threatens to “declare war” if South Korean drones cross its airspace again.
“We believe the South Korean military is behind the drone invasion incidents. We warn once again that if we see a drone again, we will regard it as South Korean, declare it a declaration of war on our republic, and act as appropriate us,” the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
North Korea’s foreign ministry said earlier that South Korean drones entered North Korean airspace three times during October to distribute propaganda leaflets. South Korea’s military has denied sending drones to its northern neighbor, and suggested it could have been done by public organizations or individuals.
The North Korean spokesman said the drone that had entered Pyongyang’s airspace could not be launched by a civilian organization without assistance, as a runway is required to launch such types of drones.
