Israel’s danger is approaching Turkey, Erdogan says
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Israel’s expansion, if not stopped, is a danger for Turkey that sees it approaching and that is why it is taking precautions.
Specifically, he stated that “if Israel, which is becoming more and more corrupt and more and more unbridled, is not stopped, we can predict where this expansion will lead. Even though there are some people in our country who don’t see the impending danger, we see the danger and take all kinds of precautions.”
The Turkish president spoke at the conference on “The Future of Palestine” organized by the International Relations and Human Rights sectors of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), where he said, among other things:
“The attacks launched by Israel against Gaza on October 7 of last year brought the Palestinian Question back to the agenda of humanity. The ongoing massacres in Gaza, which have claimed the lives of approximately 50 thousand innocent people, mainly children and women, have once again drawn the attention of the whole world to the persecution of the Palestinian people. Israel’s genocidal policy, which after Gaza now extends to Lebanon, also contributed decisively to humanity knowing the true face of Zionism. Again, through this process we have all seen up close how the Zionist lobby controls the world powers and system, how it controls the economy, commerce, the media, the film industry, every branch of art, academia community, universities and even government, military and civil bureaucracy in some countries».
Tayyip ErdoÄŸan aimed his arrows at the UN, saying that “we once again watched with shame how the international organizations, including the UN Security Council, found themselves completely powerless in the face of spoiled Israel.”
He pointed out that Israel publicly provoked the United Nations, especially the Security Council, with its attack on the peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
“The fact that there has so far been no clear reaction from the permanent members to these behaviors is at least as serious as the attacks. I ask – how will a United Nations organization that does not protect the rights of its own staff defend the rights of others? […] I repeat: With the atrocities it is committing in Gaza and Lebanon, the Israeli government is not only slaughtering tens of thousands of innocents, but also all the institutions, rules and values that the world has created in the last century“, said the Turkish president.
He also once again criticized the West: “Values such as freedom, democracy, justice, freedom of expression and freedom of the press, which the West has defended for years, were shelved in the blink of an eye.».
