President Volodymyr Zelensky unveiled his long-awaited “victory plan” in the Ukrainian parliament today, calling on Ukrainians to remain united in uncertain times ahead of the November 5 presidential election in its ally the US.

In addition, in his speech, the Ukrainian president stated that North Korea is de facto participating in the war in Ukraine on the side of Russia.

After two and a half years of war, Zelensky sought with his speech to convince the exhausted public opinion in Ukraine that the war may end soon and to emphasize how important Ukrainians are to stay united, as the war challenges pile up.

“We achieved and are achieving results in battles thanks to our unity. So please don’t miss the section,” he said.

Zelensky also said he will travel to Brussels for a summit of European Union leaders tomorrow, Thursday, to present his plan.

The 5 main points of the Zelensky plan that depend on allies

As Russian troops push into the eastern part of the country and a winter of power shortages looms, he told MPs the plan includes five main points dependent on allies of Kiev, including an unconditional one invitation to Ukraine to join NATO.

He also mentioned her special support in weapons.

The Ukrainian leader again demanded from Kiev’s Western allies to “lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons on all Ukrainian territory held by Russia and on Russian territory,” as well as continuing aid to “edisarmament of the reserve brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces”.

His third point emphasizes the need for Ukraine to acquire nuclear deterrence capability which, he said, would (should) be sufficient to be able to destroy Russian military power. He did not elaborate, but said there is an additional secret annex which he cannot reveal.

The plan, he said, also envisions a Western role in defense of natural mineral resources of Ukraine from Russian attacks as well as promises of post-war reconstruction.

He added that “if the victory plan is implemented now, the war will end next year. The steps for the victory plan need to be implemented now. The victory plan depends on Ukraine’s partners,” he pointed out.

In his speech, the Ukrainian president ruled out ceding lands or accept a front line freeze in order to end the war and called on his allies to “force Russia to participate in a peace summit and prepare to end the war.”

His speech was attended by senior military, intelligence and political officials as well as members of parliament, some of whom stood up at intervals to applaud.

The Kremlin said it was too early to comment on Zelensky’s plan in detail, but Kiev must “come to its senses” and realize the futility of its policy.
