The Republican former president assured that tomorrow Tuesday there will be “hundreds of lawyers” from his campaign at every polling station.
Republican former President Donald Trump said during a campaign speech on Sunday that he regrets leaving the White House after losing the 2020 presidential election — which he never acknowledged.
“We had the most secure border in our country’s history the day I left. I shouldn’t have left. I mean, honestly, because we’ve been doing so well,” he said, about an hour and forty minutes into his speech in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
He assured that tomorrow Tuesday there will be “hundreds of lawyers” from his campaign at every polling station.
He referred to his achievements during his term (2017-2021): “We had the best economy in history. We had the wall. We had everything.”
To this day, Mr. Trump denies that he lost the 2020 election to Democrat Joe Biden. He made hundreds of appeals to the courts, all of which were rejected without exception.
On January 6, 2021, following a speech in which he insisted that he was the president-elect and that his victory had been “stolen,” his supporters launched a bloody attack on the federal Capitol that shook American democracy.
He chose not to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his successor later that month, breaking with tradition. He left the White House a few hours earlier.
In tomorrow’s election he is facing the vice president and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. He has repeatedly cast doubt on the credibility of the process, appearing to pave the way for further contestation of the outcome should he lose, worrying many observers.
