Nine people were killed and 57 were injured in the blast air raid on Lvivnear the border of Ukraine with Poland.

According to Reuters, 19 ambulances with their sirens sounding aimed at the Ukrainian military base, while another seven were seen heading towards the facility after the attack.

The local governor claims that Russia fired 30 rockets at the Yavoriv military base.

“The attackers carried out an air strike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security. “According to the first information, they fired eight rockets,” the administration said in a statement.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center, Anton Mironovich, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Armed Forces Academy, was quoted as saying by Ukraine’s Interfax news agency.

It is noted that the attack comes after Russian warnings that NATO supply lines will be targeted.

Just 15 miles from the Polish border – and therefore NATO territory – it appears to be the westernmost attack by Vladimir Putin’s forces since the start of the invasion.

Just yesterday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned that Western arms shipments to Ukraine were a “legitimate military target.”
