According to the statement, during the meeting bilateral relations between Turkey and the United States, the latest developments in Syria and global and regional issues were discussed.
President Erdogan stated that Turkey’s efforts to improve Turkey-US relations in all fields will continue in the new term and added that his country has been in favor of maintaining its territorial integrity, unity and unified structure from the beginning. Syria.
He added that the international community should cooperate for the revival and reconstruction of the institutions in Syria.
Erdogan summarized that Turkey will take preventive measures primarily for its own national security against all terrorist organizations, especially the PKK/PYD/YPG and DAESH terrorist organizations, which operate in Syria and are a source of threat to his country which will take precautionary measures for its own national security, as it is the only one that has fought hand-to-hand against DAESH.
He even emphasized that as Turkey is a member of NATO, it will prevent the PKK’s efforts and its expansions to overturn the situation in a possible opportunity and will never allow weakness to appear in the fight against DAESH.
