A message to turn to love and not fear was sent by Kate Middleton from her annual Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey in early December, which she attended and which will be shown on Christmas Eve.

“Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s the season for presents, garlands and marmalade tarts, but it’s also a time to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all“, said the Princess of Wales.

“When we stop and step away from the pressures of everyday life, we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness and forgiveness, which is a big part of the spirit of Christmas“, he added.

“The story of the Nativity encourages us to think about the experiences and feelings of others. It also reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, and how much we need each other despite our differences. Above all, it encourages us to turn to love rather than fear“, says Kate Middleton in the message.

“The love we show to ourselves and the love we show to others. The love that listens with empathy, the love that is kind and understanding, the love that forgives and the love that brings joy and hope. Love is the greatest gift we can receive, not only at Christmas, but every day of our lives“, she concluded in her message.

The theme of this year’s ‘Christmas Together’ concert is love and empathy and is understood to have been chosen by Kate Middleton following her difficult year and battle with cancer.
