The Israeli military announced today that it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen before it entered Israeli airspace, clarifying that air defense sirens had been activated in the central and southern parts of the country as a precaution.

“A missile fired from Yemen was intercepted before it entered Israeli territory,” the Israeli military said via Telegram. According to the same source, sirens were sounded “due to the possibility of falling debris during the interception”.

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross, reported no injuries.
