The cause of the crash has been reported to be that the plane, a Boeing 737-8AS, was struck by a flock of birds and made an emergency landing without the wheels deploying. The plane burst into flames when it skidded off the runway and hit a concrete fence at the airport’s perimeter.

The black boxes are expected to aid investigations into the cause of the country’s biggest plane crash in more than 30 years.
