US Department of Security officials have ordered many programs temporarily ceased to allow immigrants to temporarily settle in the United States, the New York Times said yesterday, Friday.

The Directive requires an immediate end to the “final decisions” on certain visa applications, pending a review by the Trump government on whether to cancel the programs permanently, NYT said, citing email sent by the senior official US naturalization and immigration services.

The programs offer the possibility of entering a large number of immigrants from a number of countries, including war -torn Ukraine and others facing political turmoil or extreme poverty.

President Donald Trump, on his first day as president on Monday, issued a series of executive orders in order to prevent irregular migration and allow the US to deport millions of immigrants without legal status.

The Trump government insists on efforts to enhance the law enforcement on immigration, opening the likelihood of targeting immigrants who entered the country through programs created at the time of Biden Government and creating a vague legal status for immigrants to make it easier Arrest and detention of immigrants who are irregular in the US.

A program that ended allowed immigrants waiting for Mexico to plan an appointment to apply for asylum in a legal border passage. Others allowed immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela to enter the country if they had US financiers and were under control.
