According to US President Donald Trump, Gaza Palestinians “will be able to live peacefully, so for change”
The US president Donald Trump said Saturday that he wants a plan to “house” the Gauze stripsaying that he proposes that the Palestinians go – “temporarily” or “in the long run” – in Jordan and Egypt.
“We are talking about about 1.5 million people”, and “simply (the purpose is) to house this area,” said the Republican, who reiterated the comparison of the Palestinian pocket with a “demolition construction site” after Fifteen months of war.
Asked if it refers to a long -term relocation of the citizens of the Gaza Strip, Mr Trump replied “it could be either one or the other”, adding that the Palestinians “will be able to live peacefully, so for change”.
The previous US government had stressed last year that it is opposed to the forced Palestinian displacement. Human rights defense organizations, international organizations and relief organizations have long been concerned about the destructive situation in the Gaza Strip, where the war has displaced almost the entire population (2.4 million pre -war).
“I told him I would like to get more people, because I look at the whole lane of Gaza right now and there is a mess, it’s a big mess. I would like to take people, “said Donald Trump, who began his second term in the presidency on Monday, January 20, referring to his conference with the King of Jordan Abdallah II.
“I would like (and) Egypt to take people,” Mr Trump said, adding that he would discuss the idea with the Egyptian president, Abdel Fatah al -Sisi, later today.
