Three men were injured today by an attack by a man with a knife in Dublin, with the alleged perpetrator arrested, police said, while the media reportedly did not report at this stage of investigation.

Irish police spoke of a “serious incident”.

The alleged perpetrator is currently “in custody in a police station in the northern part of the city” and the police stressed that “there is no longer any danger to the public”.

“Three men were attacked during the incident and were taken to the hospital, two with serious but non -dangerous injuries to their lives and a third with slight injuries,” police said.

The attack occurred in the Stoibater area in the eastern part of the Irish capital. The police estimate at this stage is that this is not a terrorist attack, the Irish Times said.

A large police force has been deployed at the site of the attack and police vehicles and emergency were developed in the area and other parts of the city.

According to the Irish Times, the suspect of the perpetrator launched the attack using a household knife.
