At the same time, the Italian Prime Minister stressed that the total of these new measures (support for low-income households, the possibility of settling business accounts, assistance in the fisheries, transport and agriculture sectors) will reach 4.4 billion euros. The Italian Prime Minister clarified that almost all this amount will result from the extraordinary taxation of the super profits recorded by the companies in the energy sector.
“In our meeting today with the Prime Ministers of Greece, Spain and Portugal, on energy, we agreed that it is important to adopt a common position at the next European Summit. “We intend to go to the Summit with this common position, and to defend it, all together,” said the Italian Prime Minister.
“The Ukrainian crisis is a European crisis and deserves European answers in many areas, such as gas, raw materials and defense,” concluded Mario Draghi.
The Italian government has finally decided that the country’s public administration should replace the “antivirus” programs produced and sold by the Russian Federation.
