A Chinese designer who made an excursion to the area took a photo of the spot and posted it – could not imagine what would follow
When designer Guo Qingshan, from Shanghai, posted a photo of his vacation on Valentine’s Day, could not imagine that a new tourist hot spot in China would introduce through it.
Guo had gone for hiking in the central province of Hubi in late January. As he edited his photos, he noticed something he had not seen before.
In the background was a mountain that looked like a puppy head.
“It was so magical and cute. I was excited when I discovered it, “Guo told CNN.

“It looks like drinking water or looking at fish. It also looks like it is quietly protecting the Yangtze River, “Guo described.
Guo’s post on the Chinese social networking application Xiaohongshu (Rednote) has garnered 120,000 likes within 10 days. On the Weibo platform, the hashtag #xiaogoushan – which in Chinese means’Mountain-Kutavi» – attracted millions of views.
Many traveled directly to the area to see the mountain up close, while some brought with them their dogs to take photos.
‘Mountain-Kutavi, I arrived! ” He wrote a user on Rednote, accompanying his post with photos of the mountain. ‘Just caress the head of the puppy and everything will go well“
The rock is located in the Zigui province of Yichang city and can be seen from a special observation platform. The Yangtce River, the largest river in China and the third largest in the world, flows through this mountainous area.
After the unexpected success of the Guo photo, many users began sharing their own photos from the same location, saying they had never noticed that the mountain looks like a dog.
