Russian pipeline as part of a compromise that aims to prevent Slovakia from a veto on Ukraine’s support, has been the resumption of natural gas flow from the Russian pipeline.

According to the preliminary draft from today’s summit in Brussels, Europeans are expected to discuss and probably mediate that Kiev will renew an agreement that would give the “green light” to Moscow to export gas through the country.

The summit is being held to find the EU to find solutions in replacing military support for Ukraine, after President Donald Trump ordered the freezing and information exchange. However, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitso along with Hungarian leader Victor Orban threaten to derail these efforts.

“The European Council calls on the Commission, Slovakia and Ukraine to intensify efforts to find applicable solutions to the issue of natural gas transit, including through its reopening,” the document said.

A official confirmed that the Council added the issue to the debate with the aim of Slovakia to withdraw its objections to the overall text and assistance to Ukraine.

It is recalled that a many billions of dollars between Russia and Ukraine allowing Moscow to draw fuel through the country ended December 3124. Since then, Robert Fitso has been constantly pressing on the renewal of the agreement, accusing the EU, energy as retaliation.
