Zelensky: I’m ready for talks with Putin – World War III if they fail

by

“Ready to negotiate with Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told CNN, but stressed that if the talks failed then it would mean “World War III.”

“I am ready to negotiate with him. I have been ready for the last two years. And I think that without negotiations we can not end this war,” he said. Putin.

“But if these efforts fail, it would mean a third world war,” he said.

Zelensky insists on calling for negotiations in recent days as we approach the four weeks since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In a video message released Saturday, he called for talks “without delay”, warning that otherwise Russia’s losses would be “huge”.

“We have always insisted on negotiations. We have always been positive in the dialogue, we have offered solutions for peace,” he said.

“I want everyone to hear me now, especially in Moscow. It is time to meet. It is time to talk. It is time to restore territorial integrity and justice for Ukraine,” he added.

Zelensky has previously stated that his priorities in the talks are clear: “The end of the war, guarantees of security, sovereignty, restoration of territorial integrity, real guarantees for our country, real protection for our country.”
