THE Butch Wilmore and the Sunny Williams arrived at the International Space Station in June, by boat Boeing Starliner. They were supposed to stay there for eight days, but technical problems forced the US Space Service to change its plans. The two astronauts are expected to return to Earth on Saturday night.
NASA had initially announced in August that SpaceXBoeing’s competitor, would take over the Gemini’s return to Earth in February. But the business was postponed to March.

Spacex chief Ilon Musk, who funded millions of dollars on Republican campaign Donald Trump, had said that the US president asked his company to make sure the two astronauts would return to ‘As soon as possible’.
SPACEX has been performing missions for six months that allow the crews of the International Space Station to be swapped.
